Dürr Group donates for non-profit organizations

Bietigheim-Bissingen, May 23, 2023 — The Dürr Group supports non-profit organizations and associations in Bietigheim-Bissingen with a donation of €150,000 in total. The company thus continues a long-standing tradition. The total amount will benefit various local initiatives in the fields of education, sports, social affairs, and culture.

“As the largest employer in the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen, our company is deeply rooted in the region,” says Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Dürr AG. “We see ourselves as part of the community and want to actively and effectively shape it. Therefore, we are especially committed to providing financial support for the work of local non-profit organizations. Often, the projects are only possible thanks to the efforts of volunteers, whose commitment makes an irreplaceable contribution to community welfare. They deserve my utmost respect.”

The largest single donation goes to the organization of the family and music festival “Bietigheimer Wunderland” [“Bietigheim Wonderland”]. The community foundation, the hospice foundation, the deaconry foundation, and the “Tafel” food bank are supported as well. The funds also benefit the promotion of young talent in music and sports, as well as the mentoring system for the transition to the labor market — a program to improve the training opportunities of young people in need of support.

The Dürr Group’s social commitment is not limited to Bietigheim-Bissingen. Last year, the mechanical and plant engineering firm donated a total of around €800,000 to charitable projects around the world.
