    Research project "reconfigurable rear axle setting station" Optimising the process chain in rear axle alignment.

    Processes in vehicle final assembly are characterised by fluctuations in production volumes and an increasing number of product variants. On the basis of a study of current axle versions, the Chair of Assembly Systems at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University in cooperation with Dürr Assembly Products has developed a concept for a reconfigurable rear axle setting station.
