iTAC at HANNOVER MESSE 2018: MES with a stronger focus on HTML5 clients

Manufacturing execution systems specialist builds on high flexibility, mobile app capability and usability

Montabaur, April 17, 2018 – iTAC Software AG, a leading MES manufacturer in the discrete manufacturing industry segment, has extended its portfolio of HTML5 web apps. It is presenting this forward-looking technology at HANNOVER MESSE (April 23-27). The iTAC stand D26 is in hall 7. iTAC’s manufacturing execution system now puts a stronger focus on platform independence, flexibility, mobile application capability, user friendliness and simple distribution. The iTAC.MES.Suite’s functions and benefits will be communicated in live demos and use cases at the fair.

iTAC is a company specializing in MES solutions along the entire production supply chain. Its flagship product, the manufacturing execution system iTAC.MES.Suite, is long-established in the market and has been continuously optimized to reflect new market developments.

iTAC is showcasing its current HTML5 web apps at the Hanover Fair. Web client technologies such as HTML5 make it possible to develop modern web applications that enhance the future viability and scope of the MES. “For example, permanently installed operating consoles are increasingly being replaced or supplemented with mobile devices. They make it possible for the user to access data and events anytime and anywhere. Our HTML5 web apps exploit the potential of modern web technology for the implementation of platform-independent applications with a modern and intuitive look & feel, and any number of terminals – including mobile devices,” explained Volker Burch, Vice President Advanced Technology of iTAC Software AG.

Flexible: from manual workstation to monitoring and forecasting
Applications and processes can be integrated in the production process, irre-spective of terminal, platform and operating system, and then remotely operated, monitored and controlled with the mobile app. Static and interactive processes can be simply connected – at a manual workstation (manual assembly steps, work instructions, repairs etc.), for monitoring (status, error, alert etc.) or for analyses and forecasts.

iTAC will be presenting relevant user cases at HANNOVER MESSE, including the HTML5-based “Work Instruction Client” for manual workstation operators. It automatically displays the latest version of work instructions for the production job to the operator at any work station, thereby supporting the operator in his day-to-day work. Two more HTML5-based clients are “Batch Assembly” and “Batch Merge”.
These and other iTAC innovations will be on show at HANNOVER MESSE (April 23-27). The iTAC stand D26 is in hall 7.
