Bietigheim-Bissingen, December 14, 2016 - Dürr-owned iTAC Software AG acquired 100% of the shares in DUALIS GmbH IT Solution with effect from December 2, 2016. Dresden-based DUALIS specializes in APS software for simulating and optimizing production processes and for detailed order planning. APS stands for Advanced Planning and Scheduling. The DUALIS software will enable iTAC to add an important element to its iTAC.IoT.Suite Industry 4.0 platform.

iTAC.IoT.Suite is a software platform for digital networking, control and big data analysis of production processes. The APS solutions from DUALIS are used by major industrial companies and SMEs. They have already been employed previously as a bought-in module in iTAC software solutions. The purchase of DUALIS with its approximately 30 employees means that iTAC can now integrate the APS technology as a standard element. iTAC has been part of the Dürr Group since the end of 2015. By acquiring iTAC, Dürr was able to greatly expand its software portfolio for Industry 4.0 as part of its “digital@DÜRR” strategy. To date, iTAC has installed its software in over 200 plants around the world, particularly in the automotive supply sector and the electrical engineering industry.

Dürr AG’s CEO Ralf W. Dieter says: “iTAC is an important component in our digital@DÜRR digitization strategy. The acquisition of DUALIS will make the iTAC.IoT.Suite Industry 4.0 platform even more attractive for our customers.”
