Eurotech Solution and PT Anugerah together employ 22 staff. The two companies previously acted as representatives for Dürr, for example in the spare parts business and in paint system upgrades, but also in other areas of the Group. Eurotech Solution and PT Anugerah maintain good contacts with domestic carmakers as well as Japanese OEMs, who have a very strong presence in Southeast Asia. Dürr wants to use the two acquisitions as a basis for expanding its business in Southeast Asia.
Ralf W. Dieter, CEO of Dürr AG: “Through our commitment in Southeast Asia we want to support our customers in the automotive industry in building and expanding local production capacities. This requires competent partners who are established in the country and have a strong group network.” Southeast Asia is one of the most important emerging markets of the automotive industry. In 2013, 4.3 million cars were produced in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, and experts expect this figure to rise by more than 40%, to 6.2 million, by 2018. This is due to the increasing per-capita income in Southeast Asia, which is home to around 600 million people.
