During the presentation of the award in the “International Procurement Services” category, which relates to the procurement of services and capital goods, the great long-term partnership between Daimler and Dürr was emphasized. Their cooperation began as early as 1895. Since then, the mechanical and plant engineering firm has executed several projects for the carmaker, most recently in Sindelfingen, Wörth, Rastatt (all in Germany), Hambach (France), Kecskemet (Hungary) and Beijing (China).
Once a year, Daimer presents the Daimler Supplier Awards to companies demonstrating above-average performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery reliability and innovative strength. Other assessment criteria include values such as fairness, reliability, credibility and the commitment to sustainable business practices, providing incentives for the entire supplier base to strive for continual improvement in existing and new markets.
