MAT² Apprenticeship Program

MAT² is a three year apprenticeship program where I have numerous opportunities to participate in national and international projects while gaining hands-on experience. During the program I’m rotating between attending classes and working at Dürr Systems, Inc. I am grateful to work for a company with years of experience in mechatronics training. Mechatronics is a rather new concept to Michigan, but Dürr Germany has been more than helpful with sharing their knowledge with me. Through my training in Germany and work terms back home, I have had a truly unique experience learning about the current manufacturing industry. I am excited to apply my newfound skills and move forward with Dürr.

Hannah VanDeKerkhove joined Dürr as an Engineering intern for the MAT² mechatronics program after graduating from High School in 2016.

She is working in Southfield close to Detroit, but also spending time at the Dürr Headquarter in Bietigheim-Bissingen for trainings.
